The National Police Service on Tuesday invited Kenyans to give their opinions through a public participation exercise regarding the proposed police uniform.
The exercise will take place on Wednesday at Central Region at Ruring'u Police Training College and on Thursday at National Police College-Main Campus Kiganjo
However, the move attracted mixed reactions from Kenyans.
Many questioned why the uniforms were being changed barely five years after the current ones were introduced.
Others suggest that NPS should revert back to the old navy blue uniforms.
Here is what Kenyans had to say on X ( formerly Twitter)
"For the last 3 years, you guys have been changing uniforms without explaining to the public. Is this an already approved tender or political kickbacks through tenders? The 3 uniforms are enough, we pump the money to be used into the economy through youth employment," Airoborn Pinchez said.
"These guys by now should be calling public participation in selection Police bedsitters, studios and tear-gas suppliers …Hata kaunda suit hatukuulizwa…? Kenengineer posed.
