Embattled Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni has disowned four members of the party's disciplinary committee.

In a notice seen by the Star, Kioni said the four are not authorised to conduct any business on behalf of the party.

He added that they also do not belong to any organ of the Jubilee party.

"It has come to the attention of the party that Wanjiku Nduati,  Robert Wanga, Mutembei Marete and Kamau Mbugua are masquerading as members of the party's disciplinary organs.

"Party members are informed that these individuals are not appointed to any organ of the party and are not authorised to conduct any business on behalf of the party," Kioni said on Tuesday.

He further advised members of the party to contact the party headquarters for further guidance.

A spot check by the Star confirmed that Wanjiku Nduati was the vice chairperson of the disciplinary committee, as of 2020.

The announcement comes amidst infighting between the factions led by SG Kioni and EALA MP Kanini Kega.

The Kega faction is a pro-President William Ruto side and has pledged to work with the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The Kioni side is pro-Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga and retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Two weeks ago, the Kega faction announced nominated MP Sabina Chege as their interim party leader. However, the Kioni faction recognizes Uhuru as the party's leader.
