First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has visited Justdiggit, an organisation in the Netherlands whose main aim is to revitalise the landscape to mitigate the effects of climate change.

In a statement, Mama Rachel said that Justdiggit believes that nature has the power to cool the planet through regreening of the degraded land and returning of the vegetation.

"The approach that is used incorporates trees and other woody plants into the landscape to restore functionality and mitigate the effects of global warming," the statement read.
