Gachagua heads to Botswana for Forbes summit

Speakers will be drawn from government, venture capital and business role models.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will on Saturday leave the country for a five-day visit to Botswana.

Gachagua will be in Gaborone for the 2023 Forbes under 30 summit, where he will be representing President William Ruto.

The 5-day summit brings together the world’s most elite young entrepreneurs and game-changers from more than 40 countries, to celebrate and learn from each other, inspiring the newest and next generation of leaders.

Speakers will be drawn from government, venture capital and business role models.

The summit will provide inspiration to the newest and the next generation of leaders.

Forbes launched its 30 Under 30 list in 2011 under the direction of Randall Lane, Editor in Chief of Forbes Magazine.

30 under 30 in Forbes features a list of 600 individuals under the age of 30 each year, who have impactful careers and accomplishments across a span of industries.

This month the Summit has returned to Africa, the world's greatest growth market.

The first-ever Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa was held in April 2022, in Botswana.

It brought together entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries.

Also, DP Gachagua will hold diaspora engagements. 

Principal Secretary of State Department for Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu said the DP will be meeting Kenyans living in the country on Saturday. 

"Kenyans in Botswana! DP Rigathi Gachagua is coming to meet you this Saturday! Looking forward to seeing you all!" she tweeted 

The event will be held at the Avani Gaborone Resort starting 5 pm, where the DP will be the Chief Guest.
