Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has told off Azimio leader Raila Odinga over his remarks to the International community.

The US ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman said Kenya had the "freest and most transparent election" ever in the history of the country.

"I don't know which country she was talking about. She had just been here a few days to the election," Raila said.

Raila told the international community, particularly a group of foreign diplomats who issued a joint statement recently that democracy is the same everywhere.

"You cannot put development ahead of democracy. Democracy must precede development. That's why we are surprised to see these diplomats turning a blind eye to this. Most of them have the audacity to misrepresent facts about our country."

The DP on Sunday said that American ambassador cannot stop discussing development to come and assist Raila to destroy other people’s property.

“You’re out of order by blaming the international community. The international community now knows you. You presented yourself as a defender of democracy and human rights but now they know who you are. It's not possible for America to assist Raila to undermine democracy in Kenya,” he said.

He said Raila has perfected the art of causing violence and destroying other people’s property then he is called to a table to talk and join government but this time he will not make it.

“They have sent emissary to us to sit down and negotiate their entry into government but that will not happen. However, if they stop the bad manners and stop the violence we can talk but with only one agenda of discussing Raila’s exit from politics,” he said.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said that those organising demos are economic saboteurs in the region.

Mudavadi said that Azimio has no agenda for Kenyans. He said that Raila's answers to his Azimio brigade were undermining the East African regional economies for personal gains.

He said that Raila held a two and half hour meeting with ambassadors last Sunday and he only asked that servers be opened and return of the Cherera four but he did not talk about the cost of living.

“We are tired. Your credential in democracy is going up in flames. What you’re pursuing now is not democracy but anarchy. You cannot plant anarchy and expect to get something else,” he said.
