Running battles between Police and protesters has been witnessed in Mathare-Number 10 area, Nairobi as the opposition holds its third demo.
In a video shared by Citizen TV, anti-riot police were already on the ground dressed in anti-riot gear to face the protesters.
Even before 11 am, tear gas had already been lobbed at the protesters.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday warned Kenyans against taking part in violent demos, saying the police would prevent them at "all costs."
“No more violent protests shall be allowed anywhere in Kenya. With or without notices, demonstrations and protests of any type which injure people, security officers, businesses and property shall be prevented at all costs,” he said.
The CS citing violent scenes witnessed during the other two demos said such occurrences may push the country into anarchy.
On Monday, the area had turned into a battlefield as youths, police clashed.
Roads were barricaded by youths in an attempt to block the police.
The youths threw stones at the police, who were standing at a distance as Police they threw tear gas in an attempt to disperse the youths.
This was repeated for the most part of the morning hours.
