Bungoma Senator David Wafula Wakoli has trashed United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party Secretary General Cleophas Malalah's call to fold Ford Kenya and ANC  parties and join the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Addressing the press in Bungoma on Monday, Wakoli noted that he won’t allow Ford Kenya to be folded arguing that there was no agreement in the Kenya Kwanza agreement to fold the two parties.

“During UDA signing a partnership, there was nowhere we agreed that we shall fold our party. Therefore I want to ask UDA SG Cleophas Malala to stop telling us that we fold Ford Kenya,” he said.

Wakoli said that with the force of National assembly speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Ford Kenya delivered Bungoma votes.

The first term Senator told the Star that Ford Kenya is the second oldest party in Kenya adding that it has grown and mentored many politicians.

“If there is a party in Kenya that stood firm and fought for devolution then it is Ford Kenya," Wakoli noted, adding that it is still fighting for the people's interests.

Wakoli who was elected on Ford Kenya party say that he will stand firm with Ford Kenya and support Moses Wetang’ula.

In Bungoma, Wakoli said that Ford Kenya is the one leading with many MCAs, MPs and area governor comes from the outfit.

Wakoli’s sentiments comes a day after ANC's rating party leader Issa Timamy and party MPs ganged up against former Kakamega senator  Cleophas Malala saying they won’t allow folding of the ANC party.

On Nzoia Sugar, Wakoli said that the government has allocated Sh500m towards payment of debts and farmers adding that the Kenya Kwanza government is still having daily conversations on how the mill can be revived.

“During campaigns we pledged many developments including the installing of a new factory at Nzoia. I want to assure that we shall ensure that the government does it,” he said.
