Ex-Kinango MP Benjamin Tayari appointed KPA chairman

Murkomen revoked the appointment of Joseph Kibwana.

Former Kinango MP Benjamin Tayari has been appointed to be the chairman of the Board of Directors of Kenya Ports Authority.

In a gazette notice dated January 12, Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen instructed Tayari to take office effective January 13.

"In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 (a) of the Kenya Ports Authority Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport appoints  Benjamin Dalu Tayari to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Ports Authority, for a period of three years," the notice read.

 

Tayari will be the chairman of KPA for a period of three years.

 

In the gazette notice, Murkomen revoked the appointment of Joseph Kibwana.
