The accident comes months after NTSA suspended the Modern Coast licence following the Nithi River accident.

The accident left 33 people dead.

NTSA as a result grounded 31 fleets of Modern Coast buses pending a probe into the accident.

"A thorough multi-agency investigation into the crash and an evaluation of the operator's safety operational standards is currently underway," NTSA said
