Kitale Main Prison inmates have had an early Christmas as Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya visited them with goodies.

Natembeya enjoyed light moments with them as they sang and danced to different tunes.

He said he wanted to spend time with the inmates this festive season as most of the time they are forgotten.

He donated two bulls and other food items and paid a fine for 91 petty offenders on which he said it was important they spend time with their families.

"I spent some time with prisoners at Kitale Main Prison to mark the festivity," he said.

"I used the opportunity to donate two Bulls, food items, and most importantly paid a fine for 91 petty offenders who will join their loved ones for Christmas celebrations."
