The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji named new prosecutors for 119 stations in changes announced on December 22.
He also enhanced the communication department in his office deploying information officers to various regions where they will help in the dissemination of information.
Haji said the changes were in accordance with the prosecutions and transfer policy to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of service.
The DPP named Magdalene Ngalyuka as regional head in Western, Peter Kiprop in Coast, and Ahmed Hassan to North and South Rift and moved Joseph Kimathi to Appeals Division.
Tom Ogweno was moved and named the head of the complaints and compliment division, Rodah Amulele (deputy head of Internal Quality Assurance), Christine Gakobo (deputy head of Prosecutions Training Institute), Mercy Wanjiru (head of the anti-corruption division) and Christine Nanjala (judicial review and human rights division).
Others named in the changes include Alexander Yamina (deputy regional head of Coast), Lilian Gichuhi (head of Siaya), Joel Chirchir (head of Nyamira), Felister Njeru (head of Tharaka Nithi), Bonny Okemwa (head of Taita Taveta), Jackson Motende (head of Machakos), Maari Jane Kemunto (head of Kirinyaga), Brian Ayodo (head of Kisii) and Edward Matisi (head of Marsabit).
He named William Ochieng (head of Kitui), Claire Kosgei (head of Migori), Tito Wanga (head of Samburu), Patrick Onjoro (head of Mandera), Peter Kimayo (head of Lamu), Vivian Kambaga (head of Kilifi), Esther Wambui (head of Laikipia) and Bernard Kipkemoi (head of Isiolo).
Charles Okeyo was moved to Nairobi County and Appeals Division, Job Wamoyo (JKIA), Evans Gitonga (homicide division), Solomon Wabomba (Nyeri), Mary Nyambura (Githongo in Meru), Beatrice Muthoni (Kiambu), Lazarus Kipkosgei (Kakamega), Georgina Wangari (Central case intake), Gladys Kariuki (lands division), Festus Njeru (anti-corruption division) and John Okoth (Kisumu).
Also moved were Peris Gathu (Kenol), Winnie Atieno (Kilifi), Judith Nyanga (Milimani law courts), Allen Mulama (Homicide division), Stephen Cheboi (Elgeyo Marakwet), Desmond Majale (City Court), James Ngunju (Moyale), Bidan Kihara (Dadaab), Christine Mueni (Embu), Pauline Karimi (Kitui), Varoline Ambululi (Nyeri), Lydia Muthoni (Muranga), David Silati (Keroka) and Nelly Munyolo (Kisumu).
Others are Noah Ongige (Ukwala), Rachael Kanyasi (Homabay), Peninah Wanjiku (Kilgoris), Anderson Mwiti (Laikipia), Nelly Maingi (Molo), Betty Kiplagat (Wajir), Nancy Ogere (Machakos), Patrick Makona (Narok), Samson Ngetich (Kibera), Kofa Ade (Milimani) and Judy Gakii (Naivasha).
The regional communication officers include John Njiru (at headquarters and lower eastern), Camilus Kipsang (Kisumu and western region), Bocha Galgalo (Coast and northeastern), Rajab Said (Nairobi) and Jacinta Wairimu (Nakuru and north rift region).
The DPP also strengthened its ICT division and deployed almost a dozen officers to regional offices.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution has adopted ICT in delivering most of its services.
