Kindiki to attend memorial service for NPS fallen heroes, heroines

The events are inspired by the sacrifices they made to the nation

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki will on December 16 attend a memorial service for the National Police and Kenya Prisons Services’ fallen heroes and heroines who died in the line of duty.

He will be accompanied by the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome and other senior security officials.

The event will take place at Embakasi AP Training College starting at 6:30 am.

The events are inspired by the sacrifices the heroes and heroines made to the nation and aspired to make a positive contribution.

The last similar event was celebrated on December 7, 2021, by the then Inspector General  Hilary Mutyambai.

"On this day of remembrance, my deepest gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice of our comrades who sacrificed all to secure us and our motherland," he said.

"We shall forever remain grateful and indebted for your ultimate selflessness, sacrifice and dedication to the country and citizens. May this memorial bring good memories to your colleagues and loved ones, and remain a blessing to us all."
