Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula on Tuesday met with the Kenyan community groups in the United Kingdom.
Wetang'ula echoed the importance of diaspora policy in President William Ruto's government and contribution by diaspora through remittances and talent transfers.
"This evening at the Kenya Mission UK, Manoah Esipisu facilitated a diaspora engagement between Wetang'ula and chairpersons of Kenyan community groups in the UK," the statement read.
Wetang'ula also assured them of government's resolve to improve services by revising laws and raising the standing of diaspora globally.
"Additional discussions focused on inclusion in the development of national policies and negotiations for favourable visa arrangements," he said.
"Also, enhancing missions to deliver their mandate by opening consulates and ongoing inclusion on civic education."
Kenya's high commissioner to the UK Manoah Esipisu was among those in the meeting.
