Detectives in Kisii have arrested suspects linked to the assault of two county staff and a county assembly nominee outside the governor's office.

Kisii Central Police Sub County boss Amos Ambasa said at least three suspects surrendered Monday afternoon after a week on the run.

"Yes, they all surrendered to the authorities today after they heed the call to turn up. Investigations are already over and we hope to have them arraigned any time Tuesday," he told the Star at his office.

Those arrested are David Nyakwama, 50, Joseph Machoka 40 and Patrick Onsongo, 38.

The three are linked to last Tuesday's clobbering of two County staff-Job Oyugi and Dalfant Nyatige, also former UDA party bloggers.

Also attacked was Edna Kwamboka, a nominee from the same party who raised alarm to save them from the beating.

Oyugi and Nyatige were saved by Boitangare MCA's Amos Obare who was also in the function at the Gusii Stadium.
