Roads and Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen has said that Kenya will collaborate with China to expand airports in Kenya.
He said that they will start with the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
The CS said after meeting with the Chinese ambassador to Kenya Zhou Pingjian in Nairobi.
In a statement on Wednesday, Murkomen said that Kenya is looking forward to working with China on new areas of emerging opportunities and projects.
"As government, we consider China a close friend and a great partner owing to their active involvement in the transformation of Kenya's infrastructure landscape over the last 20 years resulting in the cheaper, faster and more efficient movement of people and goods between cities and towns," he said.
"We look forward to continued collaboration in infrastructure development and attracting more investment into the sector."
The two leaders also discussed areas of collaboration in the aviation sector.
