I have appointed Cabinet Ministers for all regions, President William Ruto has said.

Speaking after the swearing in of the Cabinet Secretaries on Thursday.

“If things are not going right in your ministries, look for your colleagues and talk it over. The principal of collective responsibility has been practised."

Ruto said that the Cabinet must deliver as they begin their new assignments.

"You have no option but to succeed. There is no other choice because failure is not an option," he said.

The President reminded the Secretaries of tasks ahead which includes delivering the promises made by the Kenya kwanza Coalition  during the August polls.

"I have congratulated each one of you individually and I couldn't be more proud. I look forward to working with each and every one of you," he said.

The National Assembly unanimously approved the list of cabinet nominees forwarded by Ruto.

The MPs approved the nominees following a report by the Committee on appointments which approved 21 CSs, rejecting that of Peninah Malonza.

The MPs however, voted against the rejection of Malonza paving way for amendment of the report through a motion to consider her nomination.

The motion was moved by Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu.

“The upshot of that vote is that you have approved of all the nominees after Mercy Kiiru Njeru you have negative the rejection of Malonza that means Malonza is in purgatory,” Wetang’ula said.
