Ruto's key nominees first to face MPs as vetting begins

Mudavadi will be the first to face the panel on Monday at 9.00 am.

•Garissa Township MP Aden Duale will be vetted for the position of Defence CS at 11.30 am, Alfred  Mutua for Foreign CS at 2.30 pm and Alice  Wahome at 3:30 pm for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation.

The vetting of the appointed cabinet secretaries will start on Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22.

This is according to a timetable released by the National Assembly clerk Serah Kioko.

On Monday, the Committee will vet Musalia Mudavadi for the post of Prime Cabinet Secretary at 9.00 am followed by Justin  Muturi for the Attorney General post at 10:30 am.

The vetting is set to be carried out by a Committee of 16 which includes Speaker Moses Wetangula, MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East),Naisula Lesuuda (Samburu West), David Losiakou (Pokot South), Abdi Shurie (Balambala) and Stephen Mule (Matungulu).

Others include Mishi Mboko (Likoni), Abdul Dawood (North Imenti), Nelson Koech (Belgut), Dido Ali Raso (Saku), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri), George Murugara (Tharaka), Ferdinand Wanyonyi (Kwanza), David Gikaria (Nakuru East), Mary Emaase (Teso South) and Caleb Amisi (Saboti).
