Mudavadi allocated office at Kenya Railways Headquarters

President William Ruto has allocated Prime Cabinet Secretary nominee Musalia Mudavadi an office at Kenya Railways Headquarters.

In an Executive Order issued on Thursday, the President outlined how his government will be organised.

The president allocated Harambee House Annex to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Earlier, it was speculated that Mudavadi will occupy Harambee House Annex, previously occupied by Ruto when he was Deputy President.

According to the Executive Order, the office of the president will be at State House.

If approved by Parliament, Mudavadi will effectively become the third most powerful person in the Executive after President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

Mudavadi has been assigned the role of assisting the President and the Deputy President in coordinating and supervising government ministries and State Departments.

He will also chair and co-ordinate national government legislative agenda across all ministries, chair the Principal Secretaries Committees and perform any other function as may be assigned by the President.

Mudavadi will also work in liaison with the ministry responsible for Interior and National Administration and oversee the implementation of national government policies, programmes and projects.

The vetting of the appointed cabinet secretaries will start on Monday, October 17 to Saturday, October 22.

Mudavadi will be vetted on Monday.

The vetting is set to be carried out by a Committee of 16 which includes Speaker Moses Wetangula, MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East),Naisula Lesuuda (Samburu West), David Losiakou (Pokot South), Abdi Shurie (Balambala) and Stephen Mule (Matungulu).

Others include Mishi Mboko (Likoni), Abdul Dawood (North Imenti), Nelson Koech (Belgut), Dido Ali Raso (Saku), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri), George Murugara (Tharaka), Ferdinand Wanyonyi (Kwanza), David Gikaria (Nakuru East), Mary Emaase (Teso South) and Caleb Amisi (Saboti).
