Several feared dead as Matatu with passengers roll along Kisii-Sotik road

A grisly road accident involving a matatu along the Kisii- Sotik road on Wednesday left several people critically injured and others feared dead.

The matatu, alleged to belong to Egesa Shuttle, is said to have been involved in the accident in the Amasige area.

The vehicle veered off the road and rolled several times in the area.

Preliminary information indicates that the shuttle had 11 passengers aboard.

The wreckage of the matatu after the accident shows that the vehicle was completely destroyed.
