Ruto takes first lap of honour in ceremonial land cruiser

President William Ruto on Tuesday afternoon took his first lap of honour around Kasarani after being sworn in.

After giving his presidential speech, Ruto stepped down from the VVIP dias and climbed on the ceremonial land cruiser.

The car then went around the stadium as President Ruto waved to the cheerful crowd who were waving back at him.

He was in the company of Chief of Kenyan Defence Forces Robert Kibochi and aide-de-Camp Brigadier Timothy Stelu Lekolool.

Not holding back his joy, Ruto was seen smiling as the presidential motorcade drove along the land rover.

Prior to that, former President Uhuru Kenyatta left the stadium first as he head to State House.

By the virtue of his new status as President Ruto’s convoy shall be the first to depart the stadium, he shall proceed to State House where Uhuru  shall be waiting to usher him in and give him a tour before departing in his private vehicle.
