A court sitting in Machakos has thrown out an application challenging the validity of Wiper governor candidate Wavinya Ndeti's degree certificate.

The application had been filed by two voters who sought to have the Machakos governor candidate locked out of the race, claiming she issued a fake degree certificate.

Machakos High Court deputy registrar Eric Analo issued a ruling validating Ndeti’s academic credentials as legitimate.

Analo said the court's verification of Ndeti’s diploma and Masters Certificates online indicated that they were legitimate.

The court noted that they both searched her details on the websites of London South Bank University and City University of London.

“It is indicated that enquiry details were matching in regard to one Wavinya Ndeti having obtained Masters degree from the City University of London in Business Systems Analysis and Design. She had also done a course in Computer Science at London South Bank University."
