Three people were killed in an accident involving a tractor, 14-seater matatu and a motorcycle at Kiminini-Matunda bridge in Trans Nzoia
Seven others were injured following the road crash.
The Saturday night accident is said to have happened after a water bowser attached to a tractor got detached and ran into the 14-seater matatu and the motorcycle.
The accident happened hours before another occurred on the Eldoret- Webuye highway.
The accident involved two trucks and two Nissan matatus.
Uasin Gishu police boss Ayub Gitonga said a Nissan matatu first rammed into a lorry that was heading to Webuye.
A few minutes later another Nissan matatu from Webuye side heading to Eldoret stopped at the scene but was also hit by another lorry that was speeding to Eldoret.
The second lorry pushed the matatu into a ditch and fell on it trapping passengers.
Most of the injured have been removed and taken to hospitals
Gitonga said more than ten people had been injured in the accident.
