Kenya on Saturday recorded 297 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 3,100 tested in the last 24 hours.
Health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe in a statement said 261 individuals are Kenyans while 36 are foreigners.
The positivity rate is now 9.6 per cent.
Kagwe said 162 individuals are males and 135 are females. The youngest is one month old while the eldest is 99 years old.

He said Nairobi accounted for 144 cases, Kiambu 27, Nakuru 23, Machakos 19, Uasin Gishu 17, Kericho14, Kilifi 14, Busia 13, Kirinyaga 12, Kisumu nine, Siaya eight, Mombasa five, Laikipia four, Nyandarua four, Garrisa two, Homa Bay two, Kajiado two, Kakamega two, Kitui two, Bungoma, Narok, Nyamira and Nyeri one case each.
"Today, 454 patients have recovered from the disease, 453 are from the Home-Based and Isolation Care Programme while one are from the various health facilities countrywide," he said.
"This pushes the total recoveries to 324,826 of whom271,608 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,218 are from various health facilities countrywide."
Two patients have succumbed to the disease, which are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in the month of June 2022, this pushes the cumulative fatalities to 5,655.
"There are 133 patients currently admitted in the health facilities, while 3,635 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. Five patients are in the Intensive Care Unit( ICU), of whom four are on ventilatory support while one is on supplemental oxygen. Another 24 are in the general wards and are all on supplemental oxygen," Kagwe said.
No patient is in the High Dependency Unit(HDU).
As of today Kenya has administered a total of 18,857,820 vaccines across the country. 13,430 were fully vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
