Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is the most preferred party in Nairobi, Trends and Insights Africa has said.

In poll results released on Tuesday, ODM is the most popular with 30 per cent, while Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has 22 per cent.

George Wajackoyah's Roots party and the ruling Jubilee party tied in third place with 4 per cent.

Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper's popularity in the City county is at 2 per cent.

However, 37 per cent of respondents remain undecided.

The poll also indicated that Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance remains the most popular at 46 per cent.

Kenya Kwanza comes in second place with 24 per cent with 30 per cent of respondents still undecided.

"ODM and Azimio la Umoja are both more popular than their rivals, UDA and Kenya Kwanza, though interestingly the proportion of self association/identification with formations/coalition is greater than for political parties (total of 70 percent for the former vs. 63 percent for the latter)," Tifa said.

"Also evident is the somewhat greater popularity of both ODM and Azimio among older Nairobians (i.e., aged 35 and above) as compared to UDA and Kenya Kwanza."

The data was collected through a telephonic survey with each call taking seven minutes.

632 respondents were polled in the research conducted on June 20, 2022.

The poll had a margin of error +/- 3.8 per cent.
