Deputy President William Ruto has exuded confidence that UDA will have the most elected women leaders after the August 9 general election.

Speaking on Tuesday during the Kenya Kwanza Women charter conference at Nyayo stadium, Ruto said as a testimony to this, the Kericho UDA Woman Rep candidate has been elected unopposed.

"The most formidable women leaders in Kenya are in Kenya Kwanza. There's testimony that in the next 13th Parliament, to demonstrate that Kenya Kwanza is the place of women, even before the election, we have a woman who has been elected as woman rep from Kericho County. Her name is Beatrice Kemei," Ruto said.

"I'm not a prophet but I can predict that Kenya Kwanza will produce the most elected women governor's in the next government," he added.

Ruto apologised to women who wanted to be present at the conference but missed out on the chance.

"I take this opportunity to apologise to all women I have in my phone contacts, many of whom wanted to be here."

He, however, asked the women who were not invited to feel included since those present at the event were representing them well.

He said the meeting is important because the August 9 poll is an election about the economy and its people.

He said the election is about mama mboga and bodabodas.

Further, the DP said the Kenya Kwanza administration will within three months of ascending to power should they win, roll out mechanisms to ensure the two thirds gender rule is achieved.
