Deputy President William Ruto is this morning expected to present his papers before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chiefs for clearance ahead of the August 9 contest.

The DP is expected to arrive at the historic Bomas of Kenya at exactly 10 am accompanied by leaders from his Kenya Kwanza coalition.

This is the first time Ruto is coming face to face with the IEBC chiefs days after he sensationally claimed that 800,000 registered voters from his strongholds are being removed from the Commission's register in a broader scheme to rig the August 9 polls.

The DP claimed on Thursday during a meeting with the European Union (EU) envoys.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has, however, denied the allegations.

After presenting his papers, Ruto will storm the city in a whirlwind tour culminating in a major rally at the historic Kamukunji grounds in Kamukunji Constituency.

He will be drumming up support for his candidature as well as campaign for his Kenya Kwanza candidates during the tour of the city.

Ruto's caravan will make at least seven stopovers where he will sell his bottom-up economic model.

He will start from South C, South B, Mukuru, City Stadium, Gikomba, Majengo and finally Kamukunji.
