Azimio postpones unveiling of shortlisted running mates

Wekesa said the ODM boss will be available on Thursday to receive the report.

Azimio running mate selection panel has pushed the unveiling of its report on the three shortlisted candidates for the outfit's running mate post to Thursday.

The committee cited the absence of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga who is in Malindi for its decision.

Panel chairperson Noah Wekesa said the ODM boss will be available on Thursday to receive the report.

The selection team was expected to submit the top three candidates to Azimio presidential candidate Raila and President Uhuru  Kenyatta who are to vet the three for a final decision.

The panel has so far interviewed; Narc Kenya boss Martha Karua, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Lee Kinyajui (Nakuru) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega).

Others in the race are; Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Muranga County Woman Rep Sabina Chege, former Kenyan Ambassador to Australia Stephen Tarus and Agriculture CS Peter Munya.
