Ruto attends stakeholder economic forum in Vihiga

Deputy President William Ruto is currently attending an economic forum meeting with Vihiga County stakeholders.

The DP was accompanied by ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula, Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi, Vihiga MP Ernest Kagesi, Hamisi MP Charles Gimose, Vihiga Women Rep Beatrice Adagala and other Vihiga MCAs.

The DP Ruto is currently engaging the stakeholders on how to maximize the resources available.

He urged the locals to end the culture of sub-dividing their lands into small portions but to consider constructing story buildings to maximize on space available. 

"The government puts up story building to maximize on the space available, why don't we do so at our homes?" he posed.

The forum created an avenue for locals to share their frustration about the country's ailing economy.

Both women and men's groups decried insecurities in the region.

Ruto has been urged to involve the ECD teachers in the government payrolls if he clinches the presidency in the August 9 polls.

The meeting was chaired by economists David Ndii and Joseph Simekha.
