Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen's aide Adams Kipsanai has trounced two-time Keiyo North MP James Murgor to bag a UDA party ticket.
Kipsanai garnered 6,523 votes and Dr Murgor got 6,383 votes in the hotly contested primaries.
The difference between the two was only 146 votes.
Keiyo South MP Daniel Rono also lost in the UDA primaries
Gideon Kimaiyo alias Sonko had garnered more than 12,000 votes which were more than half his second rival.
However, in Marakwet West, MP Bowen Kangogo and MP William Kisang were poised to win the UDA primaries.
Deputy Governor Wesley Rotich remains ahead in the race for the UDA governor ticket.
He is ahead of former IG Joseph Boinnet and other aspirants.
