Baringo Central MP Kandie wins UDA nomination

Former MP Sammy Mwaita came third after he got 2,139 votes.

Baringo Central Member of Parliament(MP) Joshua Kandie thanked the electorates after winning the UDA primaries.

Kandie garnered 10,652 votes against his competitor, Baringo Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat who got 7,360 votes.

Former area MP Sammy Mwaita came far third with 2,139 votes.

"I thank God and the people of Baringo Central for trusting me for the second term, I promise to do even more for my people," Kandie said in an interview.

He attributes his success to his hard work, saying during his first term in office he fulfilled the promises he made in 2017.

The locals are now still waiting for the final formal announcement of results at Deaf and Blind school, Kabarnet town.
