Raila takes Azimio la Umoja campaigns to Kakamega

Raila begun his Western tour on Friday.

Azimio la Umoja team led by Raila Odinga is set to stage campaigns in Kakamega after Busia county.

The ODM party leader is set to tour Butere, Shibuli, Matungu, Khwisero, Shianda and Mumias town.

He will be drumming support for his presidential candidature ahead of August polls.

Raila will be accompanied by Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Vihiga governor Wilber Otichilo, nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi, Farnandes Barasa, MP Chris Omulele among other leaders.

Osotsi told the Star that they are set tour Mumias West and East to sell Azimio la Umoja agenda.

"We want to market Baba (Raila Odinga)'s agenda to people. We are going to meet people on the ground because they are the one with votes we want to convince them that Raila is the best candidate for the top seat," Osotsi said.

He said Kenya needs a leader who is focused and steady to combat corruption and ensure equality among Kenyans.
