Raila heads to Busia as he begins four-day tour of Western region

Raila is expected to lock region that is known to be his stronghold.

ODM leader Raila Odinga will on Friday head to Busia county as he seeks to lock the vote rich region that has overwhelmingly voted for him in past elections.

During his tour of the county, the former Prime Minister is expected to engage residents of Teso North and South sub counties.

Friday's tour is the beginning of Raila's four-day campaigns of the Western Kenya region.

The ODM leader has been receiving leaders from the region, as well as from other regions across the country who are joining the Azimio la Umoja Movement. 

On Thursday, Raila received Kajiado Governor Joe Ole Lenku alongside 15 Members of County Assembly who had defected from the Jubilee party.

"Governor of Kajiado County @joelenku ditches Jubilee Party for the ODM. Also defecting are 10 MCAs who accompanied him to Chungwa House. The team was officially received into the party by PL @RailaOdinga," the party said.

The Azimio leader had earlier on met leaders from Kakamega ahead of his tour of the county.

They included; Oscar Nabulindo, Titus Khamala, Emmanuel Wangwe, Tindi Mwale, Chris Aseka, and Bernard Shinali among others.
