Hussein Adan Somo joined the ruling Jubilee party on Wednesday while in the company of a delegation from Mandera county.

The ruling Jubilee confirmed the defection to the party in a message shared on its social media handles.
"SG Hon. Jeremiah Kioni receives UDA NEC Member Hon. Hussein Adan Somo and his delegation from Mandera county into the Jubilee Party family," Jubilee party.
Jubilee party has been welcoming defectors to its camp even as aspirants have less than three days to join parties.
The outfit has also been hunting for formidable politicians who they can work with in a bid to build a formidable team that will see it win several elective seats in the August 9, polls.
The Registrar of Political Parties has set the deadline for defecting on Saturday, March 26.
Jubilee extended the deadline for the party primaries registration to Friday, March 25, to allow for more members willing to vie on its ticket to join.
