UDA chairman Anthony Mwaura has announced that the party will carry out nominations in all areas where more than one aspirant has shown interest to fly the party's flag.

In a statement on Wednesday, Mwaura said all the aspirants should continue with their campaigns.

The party nominations are slated for April 9 to 16.

“All aspirants should continue with their campaigns across the country and should not allow intimidations from any quota,” Mwaura said.

Further, Mwaura said the National Election Board would start frequent media briefings regarding nominations.

Mwaura also said UDA is the most popular party across the country, having attracted an excess of 5,700 aspirants in all available elective seats in the August polls.

The party was also expected to conduct primaries from April 9 to 16 even as it assures aspirants of a free and fair exercise.

"The Deputy President William Ruto has undertaken that the nominations will be free and fair. All aspirants will face Wanjiku's verdict on nominations day," Mwaura said.
