Azimio la Umoja leaders have dared Deputy President William Ruto to resign following his remarks on Tuesday at the UDA NDC held at Kasarani.

Speaking to KTN News on Wednesday, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati said that Ruto should not criticize the government while still in office.

“With humility, get out of the government and campaign against Azimio la Umoja,” Arati said.

“He cannot cook his cake and at the same time eat it”.

The Azimio la Umoja team told Ruto to desist from disparaging President Uhuru Kenyatta and his government.

“We do not want to put the country where it was back in 2007 and 2017, the MP said.

The MP claimed that Ruto has been inciting his support bases telling them that there will be rigging of votes come August 9, polls.

“We are not interested in rigging, we are focused,” Arati said.

“Why has it taken too long for Moses Kuria to be summoned over the rigging claims?”

Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni said the attacks by the DP are a matter of National security.

“DP amekua mtu wa makasiriko”.

Loosely translated as; "The DP has turned out to be a temperamental person".

He added: “If he wants to be the president, he must be a person of integrity”.
