(PHOTOS) Uhuru meets Mandera leaders, discusses drought

Stability, unity and peace took centre stage during talks between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mandera leaders.

The Mandera leaders delegation were led by former Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Adan Mohamed.

Also present was Members of Parliament Adan Haji and Adan Mohamed Nooru (EALA).

The leaders commended Uhuru for uniting Kenyans.

Kenya's development priorities and drought situation were also among the issues that were discussed.

This is the second time in less than a month that Uhuru is meeting Mandera leaders.

A similar meeting was held on February 12 when the leaders from the County paid the President a courtesy call.

Among the issues discussed during the February meeting included the drought situation in Mandera, food security, access to clean water, and security among other subjects.
