Kenya Kwanza Alliance supporters have started streaming to the Amalemba ground in Kakamega town for a Kenya Kwanza Alliance mega rally.

Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala and his predecessor Boni Khalwale spent the better part of Friday mobilising supporters for the rally to be graced by Deputy President William Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula.

The team returns to Kakamega for the second time in less than a week to consolidate its support as it gears to face off with Raila Odinga led Azimio La Umoja movement on August 9.

The group was in Kakamega on Tuesday to explain their partnership to supporters to prepare ground for today's gathering.

As the Kenya Kwanza storms Kakamega, the epicenter of Luhya politics, their Azimio rivals will be camping in Busia county where they are expected to address rallies in Malava and Busia towns.

The respective campaigns perhaps indicates the significance of the Luhya vote bloc to those seeking the presidency.

The alliance is set to address gatherings at Eshikulu Market in Mumias East constituency and Navakholo centre in Navakholo constituency before landing in Kakamega town in choppers at Bondeni primary school.

The team will the join a procession from Bondeni through the town centre to Amalemba Grounds.
