Uhuru eulogises Uganda's Mutebile as a reformist

President Uhuru Kenya has sent his message of condolence to Uganda following the death of the country's Central Bank Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime- Mutebile.

Mutebile 72, passed away on Sunday morning in a Nairobi Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

He was admitted to the hospital on December 31, after he collapsed due to complications related to diabetes.

In his message of condolences, Uhuru eulogized the late Mutebile as a reformer whose time at the top of the Bank of Uganda ensured not only the country but the regions at large economic stability and progress.

Mutebile had been serving as the governor and chairman of the board of directors of the Bank of Uganda since 2001.
