Sirisia MP John Waluke has trashed the meeting organised by Cotu boss Francis Atwoli saying that it will divide Luhya unity more.

Addressing the press at Mayuba stadium in Sirisia constituency during the Sirisia CDF tournament finals, Waluke said that Atwoli convened a meeting at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega county to meet with few selfish leaders who don't want to work together and bring peace.

"The Bukhungu meeting will be attended by fewer people because many Luhya leaders including ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi will be in Mumias in a sports event organised by Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala," he said.

He added that soon Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang'ula and his ANC counterpart Mudavadi will join the hustler movement to support Ruto's presidential bid.

The lawmaker slammed Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa for coming up with DAP-K party, saying that the party will divide the Luhya unity further.

"If you have been monitoring CS Wamalwa's movements every election he comes up with a new political party that causes confusion amongst Luhyas," he said.

Waluke said the Sirisia CDF tournament will give a chance to youths to showcase their talents and find space in other teams.

He added that the sporting event has nurtured many youths who have been absorbed by national teams and are currently earning cash through their talents.

"I appeal to other youths with similar talents not to hide them instead show them which will later make them earn a living," he said.

Deputy president William Ruto is expected to land in Sirisia constituency and later proceed to Bumula constituency in efforts to drum up support for his 2022 presidential bid.
