Kenya Human Rights Commission chairperson Makau Mutua has said that he sees no competition for ODM leader Raila Odinga in the upcoming General Election.

Speaking on Friday, Mutua said that the office of the president is the most important in the country, and Kenyans must be wary of the character of the person they elect.

He insisted that it is time Kenyans start thinking with their heads and not hearts by looking at the histories of each candidate.

"We must think not with our hearts but our heads and we must look at the histories of the candidates presenting themselves I can tell you there's no competition. It is not even close. If it was a football match it would end at 50 minutes," Mutua said in his address at the Azimo a Umoja convention.

"There's no more important office than the office of the president of this country and therefore, we must be careful about the character of the person we entrust with that office."

The law professor said that he sees a lot of problems that Kenya has been unable to solve, and for a country to move forward the people must look back.
