Governors have thrown their weight behind ODM leader Raila Odinga’s candidature, terming him the ‘most pro-devolution’ candidate.
Speaking during the Azimio La Umoja convention at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, Council of Governors chairman Martin Wambora said Raila has proved to be a champion of devolution.
“On behalf of all the 47 governors, we have discovered you are the most pro-devolution candidate we have in this election,” he said.
The Embu governor said Raila's handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta restored calm and peace in the country.

Others are Nderitu Muriithi (Laikipia), James Nyoro (Kiambu), Francis Kimemia (Nyandarua) and Joseph Ole Lenku (Kajiado).
Hundreds of MPs allied to the handshake partners and thousands of delegates from across the country also attended the event.
