Two fishermen who jumped into Lake Victoria after stumbling on six 60mm mortar bombs while fishing, have resurfaced.
DCI director George Kinoti said the two fishermen joined their colleagues at Litare Beach in Rusinga Island on Thursday.
“The two have recounted how they hastily swam to Rabuor Island for safety oblivious of the danger they had exposed themselves to,” Kinoti said.
Via social media, Kinoti said the fishermen attributed their being alive to their swimming skills.
“This to allay any fears from our audience, who have been inquiring on their whereabouts. The fishermen are full of life and shall be setting sail later in the afternoon, on yet another fishing voyage! We wish them a handsome catch,” he said.
