Ruto meets Nairobi grassroot leaders

Deputy President William Ruto has continued with his series of meeting with grassroots leaders from different parts of the country.

The DP hosted grassroot leaders from Nairobi County, under the leadership of Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga, James Gakuya (Embakasi North), George Theuri of Embakasi West and Lang’ata MP Nicholas Korir.

The meeting took place at his Karen residence home.

According to Ruto, the move will produce jobs and generate incomes for millions of ordinary Kenyans in return.

“We are dedicated to establish policies that will facilitate the financing and nurturing of start-ups and small businesses to make them grow and flourish. In turn, this will produce jobs and generate incomes for millions of ordinary Kenyans,” Ruto said.

Other leaders who were present include George Murugara (Tharaka), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru.

On Tuesday, Ruto hosted a delegation of grassroot leaders from Narok County who were accompanied by Ken Aramat (Narok East), Gabriel Tongoyo (Narok West), and Soipan Tuya (Narok).

Addressing his guests on Tuesday, Ruto said that all Kenyans are duty-bound to respect the Constitution to guarantee an equal, just, and fair society.

He added that whatever the country pursues, it must be guided by the needs of the public rather than personal interests.
