Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala has said there is a lot of talk about the One Kenya Alliance because it is a threat to some people eyeing the presidency.

She said the alliance is unstoppable, and it is the vehicle that will be used to take ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi to the State House.

“Those pretending to discredit the alliance are worried about the force the alliance is building up ahead of the 2022 General Election,” Adagala said.

The lawmaker was speaking at Mumboha Church of God on Sunday.

Adagala’s statement comes after Vihiga Deputy Governor Patrick Saisi said last week that One Kenya Alliance cannot take Mudavadi to the State House.

She urged the church to support Mudavadi, saying he is the only leader able to unite all Kenyans.

“We want a peaceful country with a leader who can stimulate our economy that is collapsing day by day,” Adagala said.

She said they are revamping ANC to have a national outlook and strengthen it.

Lugari MP Ayub Savula had earlier said he would relinquish his position as deputy party leader to give room for the election of officials from other regions in the country. He said this would help the party have a national outlook.

“For the interest of the ANC party, I will resign to give way for other regions to join and be part of our political outlook,” the MP had said.

“That way, we will be able to pursue support at the grassroots ahead of the 2022 general election.”

On April 7, a section of ANC supporters from the North Rift called on the party to elect new officials from the grassroots to the national level.

Supporters drawn from Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo Marakwet counties said it was only through the election of new officials that the party would have leadership with a national outlook.
