A man has been arrested after the death of a pupil at the Chemego Primary School in Vihiga county.

John Christon 52, is said to have attacked the 17-year-old pupil on August 7, 2020, inflicting grievous injuries on him.

The class eight boy at the Chemego Primary School died on Wednesday, moments after seeking treatment at a Vihiga hospital.

The suspect is reported to have kicked the boy severally after suspecting him of having a love affair with his 13-year-old daughter.

The victim's legs, cheeks, forehead, and upper lip had been most affected.

As the body awaits autopsy, the suspect remains in custody undergoing legal procedures.

The suspect will be arraigned for murder charges.
