A labour court has declined to stop Governor Mike Sonko's impeachment at the senate.

Justice Nduma Nderi says he cannot interfere with the senate hearing that is currently ongoing.

Sonko wanted the court to halt the impeachment at senate.

Last week, a judge was alleged to have 'disappeared' from a Zoom session during Sonko's impeachment case.

Justice Nzioki Makau who was hearing the matter, disappeared from the zoom session at around 4pm and was a no show past 7pm.

In the same week, Judge Makau issued orders stopping the impeachment process.

The case was taken to Judge James Rika who recused himself on the day Sonko was impeached.
