Wanted private investigator Jane Mugo has been released on a Sh300,000 cash bail and Sh500,000 bond.

Mugo on Wednesday appeared at a Milimani court where she was charged with threatening to kill Patrick Mugusia Kefa and Deepa Shah.

She denied the two charges before Chief magistrate Francis Andayi.

Through her lawyer, Mugo on Friday confirmed that she will make an appearance in court.

However, she disputed allegations that she has been on the run since the Directorate of Criminal Investigations ordered her arrest last week.

The detective, chief executive of Trimo Security Limited, claimed she had been admitted to a Nairobi hospital and was yet to receive summons to any police station.

Mugo said she was not aware of any criminal case against her.

The matter will be mentioned on September 30.
