Hell's Gate closed indefinitely after seven killed in flash floods

Rescue operations are underway for missing tourists feared dead at Hells Gate.

Tourism CS Najib Balala has announced that the Hell's Gate National Park will be closed until further notice.

This comes after the Sunday flash floods in which seven people were killed.

Balala on Tuesday said tour guides will also be retrained.

Six confirmed dead, one missing in Hell's Gate flash flood accident

KWS confirmed the incident noting that the Tourism Ministry was leading the operation.
