New Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha on Friday issued a tough warning to ministry staff for reporting to work late.

In a video clip that went viral on social media, Magoha stormed into one of the offices and found a few staff present with a majority yet to report.

Magoha was upset, threatening to fire or relocate the lazy workers to other "ministries where they can comfortably rest."

“Nitapata wengine ambao wanafanya kazi (I'll find others who can work). They can go to the ministry where they sleep,” Magoha said.

The CS also questioned the need of having about a hundred staff in the office. He said the government has been pumping more money to the education sector and expects them to deliver.

The former Knec boss was sworn in on Tuesday to replace Amina Mohamed who was moved to the Sports ministry.
