Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said he will root for a non-contested referendum where contentious issues should be discussed and agreed upon before they are subjected to a vote.

He said

the government, religious organisations and other stakeholders should give their views through the building of bridges initiative on the governance they would desire among other issues.

“This time I am calling on all of us to make sure through the building of bridges initiative we come up with a document which will address these issues which are afflicting us, incredibly high wage bills from the county levels to the presidency,” said Kalonzo.

He said matters concerning devolution must be safeguarded and strengthened.

The Wiper Leader was speaking at an ordination ceremony of Reverend Samuel Kairu of Covenant Worship Church in Ruai on Sunday.

Kalonzo at the same time challenged the church to speak on the ills, which are affecting the country including corruption and community conflicts.

He was accompanied by Wiper secretary General Judith Sijeny and Masinga MP Hon. Joshua Mwalyo.
